ESPN has Danes as a 14 seed vs. Kentucky in Lexington. I don't understand why they have them as a 14 when teams they have ranked higher seeds don't have a better RPI. I would love to not have to face the host school in the first round. I would think they can push for a 11 or 12 seed. I mean they have a Top 50 RPI and 5 straight titles...that doesn't mean anything?

UNH in CIT

It seems like the Vegas Tourney is going to push for big "national names". If so, glad to see us in that tourney. That is what I mean about being prestige. CBI takes under .500 squads. Not sure I want that, unless it's a big name program.

Isn't the CIT considered more "prestige" then CBI?

Per Twitter, here are teams I got in CIT Tourney:
Ball State
Mercer
Coastal Carolina
Furman
Grand Canyon U.
NJIT

According to CB, the CIT, CBI, and Vegas16 want Albany.
Be interesting to see what determines which one they pick

As most of you know I was sports director a while back for WCDB. I'm really angry how the station has pretty much dropped the ball (pun-intended). We broadcasted 13-15 games a year back then. I drove to Binghamton for the conference tourney, broadcasted, drove back to albany for 2 classes and then back to Binghamton for the next tourney game, then drove back to Albany (less than 24 hrs)...AND THAT WAS WHEN THEY WON 8-9 GAMES AT BEST DURING THE SEASON!
It really does piss me off, especially WCDB because they could have exclusivity on this. Even worse, the team would take us with them on team bus and get us a room, which we didn't even need to pay for, because they wanted us there.
Station is seems more interested in the men's games, which is silly, because it's a last option for most fans (especially now that almost every game is streamed online video wise). That's why when I was there we did maybe 5-6 select men's games and every single home game for women's with select away games (pretty much if it was a bus trip, we did it unless scheduling messed up).

I really hope he writes a book...I would buy it without question

Honestly...are they going to a postseason tournament? I mean I rather see them play in something then nothing.
-
just wow...do they get a CBI or CIT spot or does Brown pack it in and not even accept anything?
-
get to 10 and let them go on a 7-0 run...man this is really how this is gonna end

what in the hell is going on?

52 ua, 69 maine...#1 seed for ua
-
UA now 7-8 all-time vs. them after today. A nice little rivalry with them. I would say them, along with UMass, is the best (competitive wise) non-conference rivals (outside Siena...who Danes usually beat).
-
nice win...total domination in the 4th. Great rebound from Cuse

4 PLAYERS (no coaches) for the Mt. Rushmore of UAlbany Basketball...GO

I just don't want to see the Australia pipeline close. I would this Rowley and Hooley can be great recruiting tools in Australia and the Pacific Rim long after they have been gone.
Speaking of Australia:
- White is considered the #5 prospect in the country
- Have interest apparently in Mitch McCarthy: http://ausahoops.com/rankings/class-of-2016/mitch-mccarthy/
- Have an offer out on Myles Cherry: http://ausahoops.com/rankings/class-of-2016/myles-cherry-3/
-
I'm done with playing Cuse, especially at the beginning of the season. 1-13 vs. them. I rather try our hand vs. Maryland or other schools. I know they won't play Hopkins until Marr's son leaves. Just my opinion.

Out shot 21-3 in the 1st qt...yeeeesh
-
Well this is starting off really crappy. I mean you can't win if you don't get the ball. X still a big problem. I'm kinda getting sick of playing Syracuse to start the season.
-
2 more titles...it's amazing how no one in the AE can touch UA's program. I mean seriously...11 straight indoor titles for the men's side.

Considering the number of #1 seeds that lost in tournaments, the NIT is not an option anymore
