  1. I wonder how much Coach Brown/the team can leverage tournaments against each other. I'd assume tournaments have pretty strong interest in us as an NIT bubble team. If our goal is to play a name (BCS) team..I wonder if we can tell CBI that we want that type of match-up or we're going to Vegas. On today's UAlbany Weekly show..Coach Brown said the Vegas16 will be 8 BCS teams and 8 mid-majors. That could mean that all 'first round' games will be BCS vs. mid-majors.

Would still love if we can sneak into the NIT with an at-large. 24 wins..RPI of 106..2-2 against RPI top 70 teams..4-3 against RPI top 150 teams..wins over 3 NCAA Tournament teams..only double-digit loss was on the road at Kentucky.

Considering the number of #1 seeds that lost in tournaments, the NIT is not an option anymore

  2. ESPN has Danes as a 14 seed vs. Kentucky in Lexington. I don't understand why they have them as a 14 when teams they have ranked higher seeds don't have a better RPI. I would love to not have to face the host school in the first round. I would think they can push for a 11 or 12 seed. I mean they have a Top 50 RPI and 5 straight titles...that doesn't mean anything?

  3. As most of you know I was sports director a while back for WCDB. I'm really angry how the station has pretty much dropped the ball (pun-intended). We broadcasted 13-15 games a year back then. I drove to Binghamton for the conference tourney, broadcasted, drove back to albany for 2 classes and then back to Binghamton for the next tourney game, then drove back to Albany (less than 24 hrs)...AND THAT WAS WHEN THEY WON 8-9 GAMES AT BEST DURING THE SEASON!

It really does piss me off, especially WCDB because they could have exclusivity on this. Even worse, the team would take us with them on team bus and get us a room, which we didn't even need to pay for, because they wanted us there.

Station is seems more interested in the men's games, which is silly, because it's a last option for most fans (especially now that almost every game is streamed online video wise). That's why when I was there we did maybe 5-6 select men's games and every single home game for women's with select away games (pretty much if it was a bus trip, we did it unless scheduling messed up).

  4. I just don't want to see the Australia pipeline close. I would this Rowley and Hooley can be great recruiting tools in Australia and the Pacific Rim long after they have been gone.

    Speaking of Australia:

    - White is considered the #5 prospect in the country

    - Have interest apparently in Mitch McCarthy: http://ausahoops.com/rankings/class-of-2016/mitch-mccarthy/

    - Have an offer out on Myles Cherry: http://ausahoops.com/rankings/class-of-2016/myles-cherry-3/
