thats great...i love it

Will we know the newest UA recuits later this week after tomorrows national signing day? I hope so, i cant wait to see who Ford brings in
-
i mentioned it to a few people at the last game. I wish the RACC had a scoreboard on the side that had the line-ups, pts scored, fouls etc...like they have at St. Rose. I cant see any harm. To me, it will help fans know at the time what some of the stats are.
-
i got class till 7:05...so if they give out shirts...matt, brian or craig you have to rab me one. im a large. but i beat u guys to the last game, so i think i can get there on time...ill let you know

the point about housing with other students is kinda false also. i live on Dutch Quad, and every single day i see members or basketball, lacrosse, softball, tennis etc... eating with regular students. the Dutch Tower is used for Athletic and Greek Housing. Not all of them live on Freedom or Empire.
and when i go to eat, i see all the teams interacting with each other. I do notice that when it comes to guys and girls, its pretty much the girl team supports the guy team. (the mens lacrosse will go and support the womens lacrosse, and the womens lacrosse will go support the mens lacrosse)
the other night when i was at the RACC for the game, i clearly saw many Football, baseball and lacrosse players at the game.
another reason is what DK3 said about the type of sched they play. I understand however, if we start winning, then the sched will get better. The point is, people have no interest i St. Francis or Army coming to the RACC. However, i do know that when Vermont comes in, many have told me that they are going. They want to see Coppin-boy and the rest of the potential NBA recruits. If they could get a semi good big east team or a big namer to come to the RACC, people i think will show up.
Another problem is the timing of the games. Siena and Albany screwed each other by sched the game when they did. They sched right before Thanksgiving Break (last day of classes). If they reschedualed that for a another date, i guarantee, the attendence would have been double for both Universities. MYSELF, a diehard who wanted to go more then anything, couldnt, because i had to get to a flight to Atlanta. Sched almost all the non-conference games, which i can understand because they have to get them in, during christmas vacation, doesnt help. If i was here for that week, i would have drove to 'Cuse for that game.
like DK3 about the Little Danes club, thats key to a fan base. You have to get these kids who show up to love UAlbany, and want to come here when they get older. Im a monster University of Tennessee fan. I became a fan because of my dad, watching games with me, explaining stuff about the team, and even taking me to some. I grew up in LI, New York loving a team from Knoxville, Tennessee. When i was applying to college, I knew i could only really go to a SUNY school, and Albany was my first choice...however, i became very close to applying to UT just so i can say i applied to the school i loved growing up to. We need to get that mentality into the local kids and regular kids that show up to these games.

i tell you, if we can get a winning record season, i would try and see if Brown could get us into the Preseason NIT Tournament. I would think UA could get a signifigant crowed to come down to MSG or to where ever for that. But i feel we are along way from that.

ill mention it on the pregame show if craig allows me, as well as halftime. SATURDAY SPORTS SPOTLIGHT STARTS AT 12...PREGAME BEGINS AT 1:45...LISTEN TO US

id like to see us play Buffalo. I think you could get somethign exciting out of that game. BATTLE of SUNY or play for the Chancellors Cup or SUNY CUP or something. Buffalo has had a good program, and could easily be a NCAA Team in the next 1-2 years. They are 12-5 right now and competing strong in the MAC.
Id love a Rutgers or Seton Hall Game, especially if Seton Hall game being played in the Medowlands.
Im sick of playing St. Francis, Army, Lehigh. I like to keep playing Wagner however. But yea we need to go out West. You got to expand recruiting. We cant stick around on the East Coast every year. Just one game is all i like. UCLA would be perfect. Its not a overwhelming Pac-10 team, but its a game i think we could compete with right now.
-
i was also a member of the 10 psycho paths in the student section. Like some of you said, what made me upset was that only 10 of us were getting into the game, making noise etc...while everyone else sat like lumps on a log. the crowed was 1,400-1,500...best i have ever seen for a non-purple growl game there.
I have heard many people talking about when Vermont comes to town. People want to get a chance to see the Coppinboy and his gang, since many think they are NBA material. So i expect a very big attendence for Vermont. I think the -5 wind chill played a big factor.

Yesterday was the Las Vegas All-Star Classic. I didnt get to watch it on TV. Anyone know how Campbell did at the game?
-
we are out of Sienas league when it comes to Lacrosse, so there is understandable. Not sure about baseball.
-
brian its jordan...hahaha...we sit with each other in class and i work with your girlfriend...we can use first names...hahaha

With such an interesting sched this year, and tough in my opinion, what doe you see as the regular season record for this team:
Im gonna go 9-4, but say that 8-5 could happen just based on how tought the sched is. Im giving us the Drexel, Quinnipiac, Providence and Delaware and Darmouth games...im giving us at least 1 loss in conference only because it is the American East. UMass is a toss up game. Opinions?

thats surprising...it works when i open it...hmmm, maybe ill just put the links...sorry about that

they work fine when i open them up. keep trying

i love Albany with a passion. And the main reason i went to visit ASU, go to the game etc... this week is because im potentially looking to go there for grad school. The sad thing is that i love Albany sooooo much. But i may not beable to afford it. With a 3.74 GPA, Albany to me is loosing a good investment from me. I want to stay, but right now, ASU is grabbing me, frankly because even if i get out of state tutition, which i can appeal because my dad lives in Arizona, it would still be cheaper for me then Albany...i wrote the board a message anout my disapproval of him.

Wells Fargo Arena
Game Action
Ike Diagu at the foul line. All-American and def a NBA 1st rounder
Sun Devil Stadium
Now you all know what i look like...you can all come hunt me down now...hahaha
-
i have a webshots account, i think maybe that will work for me.
I was sitting next to the guy, he said Well Fargo Arena can sit 15,000, but they usually have trouble drawing if its not a Pac-10 game, unless its a big name program. They could have drawn more for UCLA. They had 9,850 last night, and if classes were in session and they hada good start time (THEY STARTED AT 6:30 LOCAL TIME BECAUSE FOXSPORTS ARIZONA WANTED TO GET BOTH THE ASU AND ARIZONA GAME ON, SINCE ARIZONA WAS AT USC AND THEY ARE AN HOUR EARLIER THEN ARIZONA TIME) they could have gotten more. Guy said they usually get around 10,000-11,000. When Arizona is in town, that when they pack the 15,000 in there. The upper decks behind the baskets were empty last night. But it was a great game. I wish UA can get like that, it would be great.
The main complaint with the Arena is the parking. The campus has 55,000 students, so almost all the parking is decal parking. They have a monster parking garage that was open to only decals, and 80% of it was empty. Thats what the fans seem to not like. They makethe public park about 1/4 mile away behind Sun Devil Stadium (Fiesta Bowl). Wills Fargo is about 200 yards from the entrence to Sun Devil Stadium, and 500 yards from Packard Field (Baseball Stadium). Tons of parking around it, but its all decal and student parking. Thats the main beef that fans have with the University.
Ill try and get those pics up.

Wow, my first real big NCAA Basketball game. I only wish America East basketball was that crazy. ASU lost to UCLA 86-82, but nearly 10,000 fans into it going crazy. I thought our fans are tought on the refs, WOW, NO CONTEST. Here are a few notes:
1) Former Pittsburgh Coach Ben Howland is doing a great job getting UCLA back as a top team. Great coaching
2) Former UA Andrew Ecker did not play, has only seen time in 1 game this year. Hes nothing vital to ASU.
The pep band was rocking, the students were into it. 9,850 fans for a 6:30 game was amazing. Sat behind the ASU bench for a little and then was right in the middle of the court rest of the game. Ike Diagu was sick in the paint, and is a clear first rounder. I told my dad, who lives in Atlanta, we got to go to a Georgia Tech game, because i have to believe a ACC game is even bigger then a Pac-10 game
SOMEONE, HOW DO YOU PUT PICTURES INTO YOUR POSTS THAT ARE NOT URLS, BUT COME FROM DIGITAL CAMERAS...I HAVE PICS I CAN SHOW YOU GUYS IF I CAN FIGURE HOW TO POST THEM???????????

im a big follower of the University of Tennessee. Im a big Vols fan etc...Let me tell you, when it comes to that University, if the President isnt fully committeed to the athletic program, then they are screwed. Thats life at that University. If he wanted to change the athletic department in anyway, he had no chance. I dont know all the details, but thats what i can tell you.
he is a old history professor. Being a History major, maybe i can get into one of his classes or something.
Thats how a game should be every night

we helped get the students into it. We got the new President into it. and the team even came over after to celebrate and thank us. the RACC Rowdies is about to take-off...UA Basketball - THATS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE...WHAT A VICTORY FOR THE DANES.
