Wow, thats a major set back. 17-1 to Marist. ouch!!! thats a wake up call rght there. 3 game series against Hartford this weekend (weather pending) is really big. Danes can seperate themselves from the paick if they can take the series. Hopefully this gets them mad and hungry.

Massacre in round 1 of the AE womens lacrosse semifinals. Hamsphire beat UA 19-6. I wasnt expecting a win really, cause this team is still growing. But thats a tough one right there.

those running stats are perfect for the option style offense this team plays.

does this win put anyone up for the NCAA Championships? I do believe they have a NCAA championship.

I recommend we clean out the sections a little bit. Alot of topics stick around for sooo long. I dont think they need to be around so long. Maybe clean them out longer then expected. And instead of 2-4 pages of posts, just have 1-2 max. Not my board, but its just one's opinion. I love this board, so it does not bother me to much, but i think it will be cool. Plus, the Trip-info and places to eat stuff, i dont think you need that around either. Can i also recommend a new picture instead of the stadium. Like i said, just ones opinion. thats what i have been saying all along. Listen, finals end May 14. The AE Tournament does not start till the 27th. Between that time, we get La Moyne twice, which is a good thing. We get Maine and Northeastern in Conf play. Instead of sched NY Tech, sched some of those teams like Army, Dartmouth etc...thats what my point was in my previous post.

Take the weekend series against Binghamto with a 6-5 win in the sunday game. Leaves us with a chance to run away next week with 3 against a bad Hartford team. 1 win away from a 30 win season. Pace and Marist this week before the Hartford series. should be fun

ok, thanks for the rant. I knew Jones was not gonna be drafted. I never expected him to be drafted. I dont even think he will get a NFL contract, and will end up in the CFL.

 

And Albany added St. Johns earlier this year as a throw in game. And i never said they would play a three game series against them. Im talking about 1 game. AND, i just threw a random name out there. Hey, go play a Big East team, its even better off in my view. I dont know what teams are open or are not open. I just saw on a site that said UNC-Wilmington had a day open that week. I dont know, im here in Albany.

 

And what im saying is that baseball is so stuck on Texas every year, they look to beat up on these small teams, to prove that they are nothing special. Whatever. im excited that our team is doing good and has a chance to make the NCAA Tournament.

hey im all for a Big East team more then UNC-Wilmington. I just threw a name out thereI jsut think that since the opening is near the end, why not give them a boost and play some strong competition for the tournament. Get them even stronger/ ITs not a big deal, its just an opinion i kinda had.

i see the CFL in the future for him. I cant see him in Arena for some reason.

you know me and my friends were thinking about doing it, but we dont have that much time. Tomorrow night im going to the lacrosse game and sitting in the press box. Gonna be writing a story for the ASP about how the Lacrosse program has made such leaps and bounds since UA went to Division I.

and what irks me even more about it is that you still have non-conference games against Pace and Marist, along with Le Moyne. Le Moyne is not bad at all, but when your playing two weak teams in Pace and Marist, why are you signing up to play an even weaker team in NY Tech???

I mentioned that Albany had a open date in late May in which they finish a AE series and then dont play again till the following Saturday. I said that they need to get a game in that week. Well they did. BUT ITS AGAINST NY TECH???? Why would you sched a week team like that?? Its almost 2 weeks from the AE tournament at that pt, and odds are, your gonna have a strong record. Why not try and get a UNC-Wilmngton, which was free that week or another strong team in and give your self a chance to raise that RPI a little more, and continue to show you can play with the big boys? Instead, we play a weak NY Tech team that is going no where and will do nothing to really help us. I dont really understand it

REALLY??? hahahaha, i swear it looked like Murphy...hahahhaa my fault. Whatever it was, im telling you, it seemed that there were two scouts at the game by the looks of it. Both guys had stop watches, and note pads, if that counts for anything.

wow, he turned down a Big East school for us. Im liking that. im and Murphy at the top of the rotation dont sound bad to me.

went ot the game for part of it. When i left, Albany was up 7-0 in the 7th. Murphy was looking really, and i mean really good. CCS was getting bad pitching from what i saw. Actually one guy from there team ,Nick Conte, i went to school with. But they were winning.

 

 

ON A BIG SIDE NOTE...

 

At least two guys i saw with stop watches and note bads working every inning. Looked like scouts to me. But didnt know if or where they were from.

went to the baseball game and walked past University Field. The entire fence is taken down around the entire field except for behind the fieldgoals. Im not sure if they are putting anything back up, but all the fences around the field except begind the endzones are taken down.

interesting...but im not thinking its something big. Why would they do it prior to the Spring Stomp and a possible big croud attending this weekend? But who knows

i dont think he is gonna get a contract. I hope he does. I really want to see him given a chance somewhere. Anyone know any information from sources or anything. If hes not given a chance at the NFL, anyone think he we look to Arena Football or CFL???? Anyone with info please post.

well Gary was not drafted. Gonna have to take a look at the transaction lines for the next few days to see what happens.

im posting this with about 20 picks left in the draft. The kid from Ottawa Kansas was taken by the Jets, and he was ranked as either as the #1 or #2 small school guy in the draft at the RB position. IF Jones is not drafted here at the end, then i say he is gonna get a un-drafted FA deal.

should be fun. Going with the group from the Athletic Department. Carieer Dome for the first time ever. Should be fun. Ill tell you about it when i get back tomorrow. Hopefully we can give the 'Cuse a fight.
