this is my area. My family is all from the south, and if not cheering for Albany, the Vols are my favorite university. I even applied there for the fun of it before i got into UA. This is amazing news for UT. Think about how she could build up a sports program outside Football, Womens B-Ball and Baseball...this should interest my family very much.

Sweep the Saturday DH at Yale, bringing the record to 11-3. Look for the DH sweep tomorrow? would but us at an unbelievable 13-3. This team is gonna surprise people even more this year.

LI game got postponed today...that two DH and a single game...5 games so far. And not to mention 2 are suppose to be at home. To make things even worse, the 4 games (2 DH) against Yale have been moved to Yale and not in Albany. Will this team ever get to play, and even better, will they ever get to paly a home game? Right now their home opener is sched for mid-late April...i want to see this team play!!!!

Why dont we here anything about a Baseball field. We play on one of the smallest baseball fields i have ever seen, with horrible looking bullpens and about 5 bleachers for stands...lets upgade that also. I've been to Georgia Tech for a baseball game, and that is unbelievable. I'm not saying we need a field like Georgia Tech, but lets build up that as well.

now lets just add this, todays LI game and both DH days this weekend are being played away. TheYale series was moved cause the field was not ready for playing yet. Which means our current 9-3 record, and after this weekend, 17 games have been played away from UAlbany, with zero at home, and zero until almost mid to late April against Stony Brooke. To me, that proves something about this team.

is this new logo replacing the new Great Danes logo introduced like 1-2 years ago with the picture of the full Great Dane...i'm just confused about this logo thing...someone explain??

also people can stand on the fence up near the RACC and watch the games...i know beign a student alot of us did that last year...

take doubleheader from Lehigh...now 5-1 to start the season. Get three game series against a descent UNC Ashville team next weekend.

to me, if we can defeat the Big South Champions in Coastal Carolina, i'm expecting ibg things this year. We can challegne Vermont and Maine in this conference...and give Niagra and Marist some problems when we play them also. UNC Ashville is a team we can def beat, so if we can get past C. Carolina, this team has a great chance to start the season 7-0.

if they beat Coastal Carolina...can Albany break top 50 or top 100 in the baseball rankings??? 4-0 start would be crazy!!!

the great thing was right before the Mens Basketball game started, the team just arrived back, and holding the trophy, got big cheers from all the fans. It is great.

so i was sitting with all the guys who cheer all the time (Flag guy). And funyn story. After the game, the AD for Hartford came over and talked to them about sportsmanship. It was really funny. Saying we should not have been bugging the cheerleaders for Hartford and chanting against one of the players, saying they suck. Everyone, even the pep-band found it very funny. The only horrible thing said was that one of the players suck. They never said anything bad to the Hartford cheerleaders. Th pep-band was funny however mocking the Hartford cheerleaders with the "U-U-U-U" chant.

Nothing wrong was done. If that AD was that upset, then she better not go to a N.Carolina vs. Duke game, because she has not heard anything yet.

Missouri is a hard team to face...if we can beat them, then its strong chance we can start the season 4-0, cause Costal Carolina is not a strong team. That would be a great start.

they won 9-8...not bad...they were down 6-3 at one pt...got to look at the stats.

Face off against Evansville down in S. Carolina. Like to see this team get over 20 wins this season. This seems to be one of our sports that is not gaining ground and growing. Hopefully we got a good team. Lets go Danes Baseball!!!

what does this mean??? We play for the Northeast Championship, and then thats it? I hope we can get a small bowl game against someone. What i think the Northeast should do is take 1-2 of the MACC teams if they dissolve and get them into the conference. Create a super mid-major conference with two divisions, 5 teams each with each division champ playing in a nutral site or split between the divisions for the Conference title.

If we can get this done like what the Patriot League has, i think big bucks can come into Albany and all Northeast members.

the problem is, now the campus is closed cause of the end of the semester. They kicked everyone out of the dorms before 12 pm yesterday...i know i would have gone to the game if i was still in town. Its annoying that they play 3-4 home games over this vacation, when no one, student wise, is going to be in town...that is going to hurt attendence.

what is the unofficial sched for us next year??? Like the teams we know we are playing anmd possible which week order???

they really were out matched. But you cant blame them. They had the B team out tonight, meaning we did not have alot to work with. The fact is Martin is a rebouding machine. Him and the 7-1 German next year are going to be scary. Iati needs to slow it down. He tries to do to much. But when he can get open and take that shot, oooooooo boy, so pretty. We need more out of Levi. Next year.

Now the fun stories from last night. As most of you know i'm a student, so i got to sit in the student pit. How great it was when President Hitchcock came down and sat with us. She sat right behind me. One point I sat down, so told me to get up. I stood up, she said "o hunny you dont have to get up for me." we all laughed. We truely will miss her.

It was a great night. Buy the way, who thinks that stupied "We love our Saints" song is really really dumb. Man we hated that one.

if this team in not ranked in the top 5 in American East next year, i may just cry. And i may just laugh at the media when we win the Conference. I gurarantee within the next 3 years, this team is going to be playing in March/April in the NCAA Tournament.

dont count us out. Surprises could always happen, but our chances are a little less.
