Connelly Gets 37

The story is by subscription only so I can't post the link. Connelly had 37 pts and 8 rebounds last night. I have a feeling these were the kind of numbers Reeder was looking for out of Dyson last year.

Reassuring to see the numbers that he is putting up. I think he and Jimmy Covington will definitely help the program next year.

 

Big men should be able to put up big time numbers in high school just based on size. Connelly's numbers are especially good because plays a lot on the perimeter (from what little I've read).

I agree with you for the most part but post players do rely on their guards to get them ball. It didn't sound like Dyson was playing with good guards last year and Covington may have that same problem this year.

 

Connelly was pretty effecient getting his 37, 15-19 from the field.

In against weak comp big men should always get theirs.

 

Teams like Morgan Park, who play in a tough Chicago Public School league and Camden Catholic who play a pretty solid schedule it becomes much tougher.

 

From what I've read and heard I think Connelly is a versatile HS performer and Covington is what we lack the most now a true "Banger" who will hang out close to the Hoop and attack the boards.
