I realize it is politically correct for the winning coach to say nice things about the team he beat, especially when they have another game to play; but I'm always interested in reading them anyway. Here are two from Coach Everhart in today's Gazette:

 

"I'm thrilled we came here and stole the game. I think the underlying factor in the game was that they (the Danes) didn't shoot the ball very well in the first half. Most of our threes can in transition. Albany kept our guys from going to the hole, so our only option was to kick the ball out for open three pointers."

 

"Albany has got every ingredient necessary to win this league. This is a team that nobody in our league wants to play right now."

Basketball is a strange game!!!

 

Northeastern came in shooting just under 32% from 3 and go 11 for 25 for 44%

 

We enter the game shooting over 41% from 3 and shoot 2-12 for 16.7%. Brent shoots 2-4 and the rest shoot 0-8.

 

We enter the game shooting 72% on FTs as a team and only our best shooters go to the line and we shoot 12-19 for 63%.

 

Levi and Kirsten combine to shoot 3-15 and the rest of the team shot 25 for 44!!!!

 

And we lose a 3 point decision!!!!!

 

Somehow we still scored 70 pts.
