SBU games

Recommended Posts

Couldn't make the game but was able to catch the 2nd half on radio. Sounded impressive and was a huge sigh of relief for what many of us thought could be a trap game. This team appears to have reached the level of maturity that Will Brown had preached early in the season. This bodes well for the Danes, winning the big games and the close games, ala Bing, and smacking the teams that they should beat, ala SBU.

Looking at the box score from the women's game: 35 turnovers. I haven't seen anything like that outside of peewee basketball. Should that be happening at this point in the season?

It's amazing how things have changed over the last few years.

Last night 8 guys got 17+ minutes (and only 1 played over 30 minutes), just 3 years ago we finished a game with four players.

Last night we got 29 pts off the bench. In the past we could never count on pts from the bench, consistently.

This late in the year we're in 1st place and our RPI is in the 140's - our 2005 RPI wound up being 195 and our 2004 RPI was 309.

This program seemingly is headed in the right direction as a MID MAJOR, especially when you consider Lillis, Brent, Jamar and Iati to name a few are back.

Our recruiting class is supposed to be very solid. I think we have finally arrived as a legitimate DI program and hopefully we continue improving. Hopefully the days of UA being a bottom feeder are over.

I, personally, believe if Will is signed to a five year deal he will honor it. If he does so, I legitimately see us being a top 80-100 team by the time he may leave. UA is a very, very "want" place to be right now for coaches and kids in all sports. With the new football stadium, a Hofstra or Delaware style program is about 10 years away...max.
