Hutchinson made her return 17 Minutes 12pts/3rebs.

 

What a difference a year makes for Alicia Learn

 

She shot 37% in 02/03 and is shooting 50% now

Alicia scored 3.5 ppg last year and is scoring 13.8 this season

She avg 2.9 reb last season 7.3 this year

She had 15 blocked shots 02/03 and already has 22 this season

 

What ever she did from last year to this year she should share it with both the women's and men's Coaching Staffs so the can use it in the off season for all their athletes!

1. Those stats were without Hutcheson who came back off the bench yesterday. I hope Learn can keep posting those numbers - she and Hutcheson would be a great combination.

 

2. I think McGinley made it difficult for a lot of the other players to realize their potential a year ago. She was going to shoot no matter what.

Learn's line yesterday-18 pts, 10 rebounds, 7 blocks, 6 assists and two steals. Quite a day's work. Great to see Hutch back as she seems to provide the toughness this team needs. Lady Danes shouldn't have much trouble scoring with four double digit scorers (Ayers, Learn, Hutch, and Schumacher) and Sweetland to distribute-29 assists and only 8 turnovers this year. Before yesterday's game Learn was 9th in the country in blocks and with 7 yesterday I'm sure that will go up. Schumacher is leading the nation in 3 pt field goal percentage.
