Iati Looked Good Against UMass!!!!

Recommended Posts

Iati looked more assertive taking the ball to the basket against UMass today. He finished with 15 pts. and 6 assists and those guards were big, quick, and athletic. They guarded him tough.

He had some nice assists off his drives to the basket. He has a chance to be very good! Remember he's a frosh who didn't start practicing until a week before the Siena game because of major shoulder surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Iati still wearing his shoulder harness?

If Iati is starting to drive and dish that's a big step forward for him because he has been hesitant to do so and when he has he has been stripped a few times.

Did he hit any shots off dribble penetration? One of his strengths in HS was he could get in the paint and dish or score but with his shoulder he has shown little success with either.

Having scored 6 times and assisted on 6 others he was involved on 12 of our 24 FGs that's being pretty productive!!!!

I didn't think about this until I saw the Prof's post about Iati being more assertive. During the Lehigh game Iati went between two Lehigh players and took a pretty good shot to his shoulder. He grabbed his shoulder for second and then ran up the court like nothing happened. I didn't think much of it then but it may have taken him getting hit to convince him that his shoulder is OK.
