Today's Gazette Great Danes Page is headlined "Jordan plays waiting game" and is a pretty good read. It is obviously about Lucious Jordan and the frustration of not being able to play this year. Lucious talks about how helpless he feels and says that he works hard in practice because to him they are like games. He says that while he doesn't know if he is the reason, everyone is competative in practice. Here's the quote we all like to hear "I know this Albany program is going in the right direction and I know I made the right decision coming here. Next year, hopefully, if everything goes right, we will have a great team. Both myself and Kirsten will be able to play, along with four great recruits. I'm looking forward to a great season"

 

Other sub-articles are about Doc Sauers being honored; about Marvin Cheese leaving school and enrolling at Nassau Community College; and that we have lost 5 straight by less than 10 points and that for the season 7 losses have been by 7 or less points.

Ladies snapped a five game losing streak with last two wins, including first road AE win ever.

Ladies have outrebounded opponents 4 of last 5 games.

Jen Schumacher had a career high 23 points off the bench against Stony Brook.

Danielle Hutcheson had 18 points and a team high 9 rebounds against Stony Brook.

Maree Jones hit the game winner against Stony Brook and followed with a career high 16 points and a team high 7 rebounds against Hartford.

Great Post. I think the entire Albany community will be shocked by the two squads next year. I potentially (in two years) see the same built up enthusiasm as our 93-94 25-3 team.
