EJ Gallup Story

Recommended Posts

A more detailed article along the same lines was written by Steve Amedio, the Siena beat reporter in the Gazette this past Friday. I was going to post a synopsis, but I figured everyone was sick and tired of the story. The Gazette article discussed EJ's desire to transfer to Siena, for which Dr. McElroy refused to give him a release.

Bottom line on Gallup...

He walked out on us.

The Danes won their 1st game under Coach Brown, I think it was Robert Morris and then Gallup quit on the Danes. With him we would have won 10 games that year.

Then he wanted to come back and at the last minute he walked away from us again. With him on last years team we probably win 12 + games. With him on this years team we might be much better than we are now.

I hope he enjoys his recreation and leisure degree .

He wound up playing in a conference which is rated well below the AE at 29th out of 32.

That's a great place to wind up for a guy who was Big Time - he left UA under advisement that Ohio St., St. John's or Syracuse were interested in him.

He definitely wasn't the sharpest tack in the box.
