New Interim President

The University is expected to announce a new interim president tomorrow according to a story in the Times Union. The last I saw Santiago was a finalist for a position in Wisconsin. Didn't hear that he got it but he must have. Seems kind of funny to go outside the campus to get an interim president. Don't they usually pick someone already here? Anyway, Ryan is a retired Vice Admiral, photo below.

Today's T-U says Ryan is still pres. of SUNY-Maritime, expects the interim job to last 5-6 months, and doesn't want the job permanently. Santiago is still the Provost.
