Name of new Senate Higher Ed Chair - confirmed

I wasn't sure where to post it because there are a few funding and state threads. But since a few people have been wondering.

 

Toby Stavisky from Queens is the new Higher Ed Chair.

I don't know the woman or her accomplishments, but the first thing I see that bothers me is this:

 

Syracuse University which she attended on an academic scholarship and where she received her Bachelor's degree. The Senator completed graduate school at Hunter and Queens Colleges.

 

I wish a SUNY grad would be the higher ed committee chair.
