Tennis swept Colgate 7-0 and is now 6-1. They're really doing a nice job.

Yes, they deserve recognition for the success that they normally achieve.

It seems as though they have quite a few shutouts every season as well.

Keep it up ladies!

uofalbany,

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "normally achieve." Just two seasons ago ('06-'07), UA registered only one shutout and was shut out twice in a (badly) losing season. All the more reason to celebrate the successes of this season!

I guess I should have worded things differently, specifying recent UA tennis.

I was basing my opinion on my memories of last year's 10 shutouts, and this year's 6 so far.

I've thought about UAlbany tennis, most recently while at a Lax game. They play in the bubble, right? Do they ever get spectators? Hell, are spectators even allowed (they've got to be, right? Do they sell tickets?)?

I'm not much of a tennis fan, and if it's anything like on TV you don't exactly cheer very loudly (not like basketball, football, or lax) but I wonder whether the ladies have people cheering them on. Based on the results, they certainly seem to be playing well.
