Ryan Gugel has been promoted higher than short season Williamsport.

He is now at Lakewood of the South Atlantic League.

0-2, 1 walk and 1 run scored.

Gugel has been assigned to Williamsport (NY-P ss A ) . he played his first game for them on July 21.

Looks like he is getting good coverage in the Batavian.

After playing in his hometown, it would be have been nice if he could have played a pro game in his college area too, but unfortunately the schedule has the valleycats in Williamsport each of the next 2 weekends. How a team plays another 6 times in a season all in the same stadium is beyond me.

But Williamsport is at Oneonta 8/19 - 8/21, so I will have to go to at least one of those games.

Just got back from Oneonta tomight. I also got to last nughts game. Nice to see Ryan on the Roster, but unfortunatley he did not play either night.

In the starting lineup yesterday for the first time in a week as C. 1 for 4. First professional base hit vs Jamestown.

Gugel also was in the game the last 2 nights for the first time since 8/23.

On Friday, 0-2, 1 walk, 1 run and 1 SB.

Yesterday , 2-4, 1 double.

 

Not in the lineup today, the last game for his team. The game is currently in the 4th inning.
