Jimmer Fredette was third in the preseason All-American voting. I admit from seeing him a few times when he was in high school I didn't see that coming. Good for him. Also one of North Carolina's freshman got votes which is the dumbest thing I've heard.

 

Also Alex Zampier was drafted into the NBA's D league.

Harrison Barnes, the frosh for UNC, is already considered by many sources to be the number one overall pick in the next NBA draft.

Too many sophs-to-be jumping for the pros means a highly talented frosh can sneak on the list.

I guess. To me it's recognition (and an honor) for what a player did the year before not hype from a recruiting services say about someone.
