Attended my first football game of the season on Saturday. Nice to see so many in attendance. Just think, that should be the "average" attendance when we get a new stadium someday. Stony Brook draws that many with their new venue. University Field truly is a terrible place to watch a football game. You are almost better off going across to the visitor's side to watch.

In my opinion, UAlbany will get the stadium after Ford retires. You call it Ford Field. Mandate that you play atleast half your home games under the lights. Ford isn't a big proponent of doing this now. No offense, but their is a greater interest in Section II football than the college teams. The community would be more willing to attend a Saturday night game at a gorgeous facility. Build the new stadium right on top of the old one. The bowl shape already exists. Believe me, if football keeps winning, there will be too much pressure from fans, alums and the community for the Prez and administration to ignore this priority.

Tape of the game?

Anybody have a tape of the game or willing to tape the replay this afternoon - the replay is at 4:00? I don't live in the area and don't have access to the cable telecasts. I've contacted the cable company as well, but I'm not sure if they would can provide a copy.

Thanks

I was surprised by the announced attendance of 5,340, another fan and I both estimated around 3,200, unless there were an awful lot who stayed at the parking lot tailgate. But those who were there were more into it than usual.

One potential recruit at the game was Hoosick Falls QB Chad Wysocki. I work with his mother, who said he's kind of looking at UA, and they're kind of looking at him.
