I don't follow UA baseball like I do FB, MBB, and Lax but this years team is not even close to competitive.  They are now 3 and 18 overall, 0 for 7 in AE.  Seems like the pitchers would struggle vs a D2 team.  Todays starter went 2 inn, gave up 9 runs with 9 walks, yes 9, not a misprint.  Coach, we leave in a guy who can't find the plate for that long??  Next guy went 2 inn for 6 runs and the 3rd dude went 3 inn for 5 runs leading to a 20-4 loss to Maine.  

I know mens baseball has never been a juggernaut in D1, but usually finish around .500 and can surprise in the AE tourney once in a while.  Is this now another mens athletic team going down the tubes AD Benson????

Thanks for checking in, however, over the last 10 previous seasons, UAlbany has finished above .500 winning percentage only twice and close to .500 (losses exceeded wins by 3 or less) on three occasions.  Baseball issues predate Benson; however, Benson and his staff have continued the practice to provide Baseball little support, particularly in not providing a facility that might attract better athletes.  I am suggesting that playing half or more of our home schedule at Joseph L Bruno Stadium would help us in recruitment and attendance.
