Nano college investment

Great news.

I'm still waiting for the Nano College to begin enrolling undergraduates. I was told twice by VPs at the college that this would happen but no movement since the last reassurance six months ago.

An undergraduate engineering program would finally add another "professional" program to the university. We don't have many to start with. It would also be likely to be ranked very well and give UA some national name recognition. How cool would it be to see UA ranked above MIT in US News top engineering programs for nano? Finally, it would mean adding some very smart kids and would likely pull up our SAT and GPA overall.

It is one of my big three announcements I've been waiting for (UA President, Undergraduate Nano Students and Football Stadium)

The university/SUNY has done its part and has put in the application..it must be reviewed/approved by State Ed..the application was put in 6+ months ago..as you might guess, the state bureaucracy moves SLOW..even though it's just 5 miles down Washington Ave.
