We can't even compete in the AE and we want to go to the CAA? That ship has been out of port for years. We are a bottom feeder.

I agree he has not shown himself as a head coach. I also don’t think it makes any sense to fire him either just yet. He’s got the two years left? Let it play out and maybe something clicks if not see ya. People so staunch about canceling their season tix here feels like it’s more of a axe to grind because they just don’t like DK.
Money is the only way we have to speak so why are you shocked people are so staunch in their stances about season tickets? Sure, my $500 total individually might not mean much to Benson; but if 500 of us don't spend $500? That's a different conversation.
I personally do not know DK or Gattuso; I judge them solely off their ability on their respective fields of play. In Gattuso's case, he got some redemption this year but I still don't think he will be able to sustain it based on 9 other years of history; if we are at or below .500 next year, it's an abject failure. His 'coaching sins' won't be wiped clean until he is perennially fielding playoff teams. EDIT: Or leaving Ambrose or whoever with such a program since it sounds like he's close to retirement.
But DK? He has only proven that he should be an assistant so far. He's not cut out to be a HC. As of right now, he is 33-57 (36.7%). You want us to wait 2 more years? He is trending to be ~11-19 the next two years for a total 5yr record of 55-95 (36.6%).
(FWIW, Browns last 3 years were 37.5%, 43.8% and 43.8% respectively as far as winning - Brown did NEVER not qualify for the tournament like we did last year - numbers that DK should dream of. BTW, I also do not know Brown personally.)

I was a season ticket holder for 10+ years and dropped 2 or 3 years ago. Haven't looked back. I don't see anything worth spending money on. I have better places to spend $200.

I like it more than the current and even previous brand.

After a great conversation with @CoachFiacchi_UA , I am blessed to announce that I have received my 3rd D1 offer (PWO) from University at Albany!
That's one massive Ukrainian!

This team is...laughable.
Play seemingly good defense, keep a team under 70 points...lose by 12 lol.
Play seemingly insane offense, score 102 points...lose by 12 lol.
What a joke.

Eli cannot believe you did not get caught up in the 3-5 years leading up to and including the final 4 appearance in Foxboro for the men's lacrosse team. I have been following UA athletics for 55+ years with MANY HIGHs and some lows; but there is/was nothing like the anticipation and excitement of the Thompsons' years and the final four, just afterwards. Each to their own of course; but being rated a top 10, top 5, and even #1 IN THE COUNTRY more than once in those years was an un-comparable feeling for me.
Anyhow, buddy don't lose "hope." Keep following the UA teams you have interest in; if football can have a season like they just did, why not men's basketball again in the "NEAR" future??🤩🤩
I think it's more an indictment on the administration rather than the teams themselves. I do remember the years LAX was #1 and UA completely blew it - we didn't build on the momentum for whatever reason and now we're back to being just another LAX team or what not. We should have taken that PR and success and turned into a perennial powerhouse.

LOL ....no one longer wants to start a MBB Game Day thread anymore .... thanks Dwayne.
GG pulled me back into FB a bit this past year - but if he has another bad year next year I'm likely gonna be out long term - but I have almost zero interest in UA sports. I legit have not watched a minute of UA MBB this year after being a season ticket holder for a decade. I was waiting till the end of the year, assuming we were still competitive but seeing as we aren't, not going to bother.
Couldn't care less about WBB, LAX, Softball/Baseball, Track, etc. FB and MBB are the only two sports I care about and one is completely devoid of hope (MBB).
-
I'm not sure I like this, even though in most cases a year like this year would have been super deserving. If we have a bad year next year - then what? Why do we keep giving out extensions after only one good year?

Next coach is already local...Carm had to go. Our coach isn't great but that was a complete crime what happened over there.
Meaning Will Brown? Is that basically a poorly kept secret at that point and will happen within a few days of Carm being fired?
Dunno how I feel about it...that's like Brady or Bill going to the Jets but in reverse. Or Reggie Miller going to the Knicks 😂.

Good. Keep him. Let him continue racking up losses and cementing that team as the worst team in D1. We're bad, but then there is Siena bad LOL.

Well, seems like it has nothing to do with family and seems that the personal reason is he doesn't like this team. Or some people on it evidently.
I mean, neither do we, but if that's the case then he can move along. That kind stuff needs to be handled behind closed doors not on Twitter (I'll never call it X).

Personal reasons is rather ambiguous.
If the reasons are due to basketball, not enjoying it, not liking playing for DK...that's a shame but hopefully he can find his footing elsewhere.
If the reason are truly personal such as health, family, etc. then wishing him all the best and that it gets better ASAP!

I don't think anyone in this program has ever heard of this enigma called 'defense'. Yikes. Lose by double digits after putting up over 100 points yourself.
-
Couldn't happen to a better bunch lol. We collectively think we suck (to the point where I don't even watch the games or make the threads anymore) but we are 100x better than Siena. Love to see it.
-
Was he supposed to be good? If not, oh well, hit the road jack.

And just like that, my MBB interest is gone. I'll see ya'll in March...

At the MBB game last night, I thought I heard the announcer say that you had to buy 2 football season tickets to get the commemorative helmet, but, I have not seen this requirement in any of the written notices. Anyone have insight?
Like...full size helmet? Where did I miss that memo? That'd be COOL to have in my office...I might do it even though I live hundreds of miles away.

I was all for players making money, because I thought in a violent game it was sad that someone blows their knee out junior or senior year and misses out on a couple of NFL paychecks...but now? I'm completely against the NIL. It's ruined college sports. I'm back to the 'if they stay in school, they get an education worth hundreds of thousands of dollars' boat.
