Settlement..so there was something that happened (?)... hopefully there will be transparency...even the DK supporters asked for transparency originally...we'll see if if they still ask for transparency after the settlement.
You can add the president to your $ienalist now as well. Good thing you have your sources to give your the truth on what went down because 97% of the alumni don’t care about Albany athletics and how corrupt it is.

Example wyland. Play by play announcer stated publicly that people have told him that they don't expect Killings to keep his job.
I guess we now know he’s not paid by the school to call football and basketball games. He’s been “dropping” insider news for years like this and he’s mixing in his day job with his side job. After this investigation is done he should be gone too. Hand over the radio and tv to the students.

Didn't one or two of you mention that you had some sort of inside information...?
Fifteen pages of speculation and conjecture.
This is my issue with all of this.

Some Albany PR firms have been tweeting pro DK things today....wonder if someone hired some PR firms on behalf of DK.
With no “insider” info, and no actual information released on the incident by the school, I don’t see anything wrong with people wanting to support Killings.

I noticed Luke wasn’t on the bench for the last 2-3 games. Makes sense if that’s when the school was made aware.
Didn’t even notice that. Good catch

I just checked Twitter and it does look like Luke is the guy in question
Late February the school was made aware. Could be around the time he was told sorry Luke we can’t offer you a scholarship for next year? Someone please make a movie out of this.

Have you ever been in the huddle when someone dumps Gatorade? That mess is disgustingly sticky as it dries. I'd want no part of it either if it wasn't being directly dumped on my head.

Not saying this was the exact incident. But just from digging you can see Luke did throw down his fist a little harder than you’d normally see after a huddle break. So maybe the incident happened before this game? It seems to me it could have been two close people that are actually close that got a little heated with each other?
Just so confused as to where the cover up is in this. Clearly the coach can’t lay his hands on another player, but if said player is fine with what happened and played on with the rest of the season what exactly is being covered up?

So I only know one person that is in "the know" and he stated the following to me:
He believes Killings hit a walk on just prior to a game in November. My guess is Luke.
He stated it was not the worse thing ever, the issue is that it was covered up.
Stated the Albany President is out of the state, somewhere south.
Decision will be made after the final four.
His opinion is that both Killings and Benson will be gone. He stated it was not because of the initial incident but because of the cover up. Basically because of the world today and the damage to the school if allowed to keep coaching.

Nice little slam here by Luke after the EIU game. Wanted no part of the celebration. This makes for a nice low budget movie.

Horton wasn't the only one who put in for a transfer. Could have been another person who also decided to leave last week
According to Wyland you are correct. Horton still a big WB guy!

Stop right there. In today's age, you cannot push a kid. Agree with that statement or not, that's the way the world works today.
True. It’s amazing how you can push a kid after he makes game winning shot, slap him on the chest, and put him in a headlock. As long as it’s all fun it’s good!

At this point, is there a chance that the situation is being blown out of proportion?
I mean what's your opinion if the whole thing was something like this EXAMPLE situation:
Kid mouths off at practice. DK gets in his face. Kid doesn't back down. DK pushes him. Kid falls down. DK didn't mean to really push him, it's a normal heated interaction that happens between adult men in tense situations, and the end result of the kid falling was an accident. Player and coach make up and come to an understanding. Player changes his attitude and moves on having gained respect for coach. "Everyone gets a trophy generation" parents get wind of the story and get angry. Maybe they were mad because their child didn't get enough playing time. Brings their concern to UA leadership. Kid didn't want it, and hasn't entered the Portal. Parents back down, but the damage is done. Investigation is mandatory after any reports happen, but it's mostly a formality after interviews, school plans to support him. Anti-athletics professor at the school (there are plenty of them) is part of the investigation, discovers they aren't going to fire DK and leaks info to put egg on athletics departments face and potentially force their hand after negative press.
I'm not saying that the above situation happened, or even if it is plausible, I'm just stating that none of us actually know what happened at this point and all the speculation on firing or who it was is pure speculation at this moment.
I keep coming back to the fact that the only players to enter the portal so far are ones that really make sense... A grad student who just won awards and might be able to test his skills at a higher level and walk-on that played well in limited time and might want to get a scholarship or more playing time. If I was on the team and I thought the coach was out of line and was not a good leader and someone who might be violent... I'd enter the portal even if it wasn't me. If I thought my coach was about to get fired, I'd enter the portal to see my options and to get my name out there, fully knowing that I might like the new coach and decide to stay.
Only two players in the portal while the coach is under investigation and they all know about it because of the interviews is really strange, unless the players are sticking by their coach.
Every player who enters the portal now will be scrutinized. Doles has entered. He’s probably 26 years old at this point. Let me know when these free covid years are done because it’s ridiculous.

Or maybe someone was told DK would resign quietly after the incident, time passed it never happened and now the student athleteis done waiting for the resignation and went up the chain. That's a random thought...no actual knowledge on that part just could be a possibility.
So your thought was if DK quietly resigned after the season the player would have stayed quiet. Yeah that would have been a great look too. This is all trash. The coaches, admins, and players. Tear it all down. It’s been trash for years.

So the player stayed the remainder of the year after the incident and waited till the end of the season to say something?

Agreed...if this all plays out as expected, this is a long term setback.
This program took a setback back in 2016 from John Gallagher and Pancake Thomas.

Dwayne Killings committed career suicide and didn’t even take the St. Bonaventure job.

Vermont is selling Championship game tickets for 45 and 40 dollars ? That's crazy. Is that normal ? Is the price set by Vermont or by the AE?
Believe it’s set by the conference. Albany sold tix for $40 a piece for the Siena game in 2016.

That will cancel out the 1 or 2 illegal screens Newman gets per game . Haha.
Also true. Honestly this team may have been better off not having a home game anyway

It may seem like a man crush but Neely is the pot that stirs the drink. Horton is our best player however ,
We have 2 points in our first 6 minutes. Neely comes in and we get 21 points in the next 8 minutes. His defense is not great but he commands respect on the offensive end and rebounds the crap out of the ball.
I agree they should be playing Neely more, but he turns the ball over a good amount and has at least one or two offensive fouls a game with the limited minutes he does play. It is what it is for this year with this team.

I was very vocal about him but he has had a tramendous turnaround. He was brutal all OCC and that much is undeniable but it can't be ignored how he's playing now and shutting up the haters like me...good for him! That's how you do it.
Someone still reads the boards! Clearly stopped listening to the 7 doubters on BPF

Nothing fires people up like an ultimate wedgie. Either way look back at the Instagram video I posted here the other day. It tells it all. Clearly he didn’t look too happy, but nothing that screams I’m going to have to report this in 3 months.
