  1. This is for all sports. I'm guessing CAA football might still add schools. In any event, I'm looking for the Stony Brook to the SoCon rumors to start.
  2. According to one of the Dayton sites Ohio Guard Zack Denny will visit us and Hofstra either this weekend or next.
  3. Not for nothing but Dr. McElroy was quoted early in the story. Irregardless, if that $500,000 a year number is close that sounds pretty good. I don't know if the Giants would still be here then but I would think that would add value to any naming rights.
  4. A story from his hometown paper about signing with us. He also visited Bobby Mo and Louisana-Monroe. His JUCO coach says he's the smartest player he's ever coached. Intending to go to medical school which I think Puk is also.
  5. Hopefully the construction goes as quickly as the time lapse movie! If you want to go through frame by frame you can use the play buttons on the bottom of the webcam and scroll through. You need to change the date on the calendar to go through the whole thing.
  6. Nice! I hope we took a few notes from Hartford's fan fest area and apply them next year. Otherwise, great news. To recap: Football made their first playoff appearance. Women's basketball made their first NCAA. Men's basketball was a game short of 20 wins with the 7th leading scorer in the country Both lax programs are in the championship game on Saturday. We're hosting next year's tourney. Oh yeah, there's that whole new football stadium thing... Once we get over the whole Suero leaving thing we'll realize this was a pretty good flippin year!
  7. Well this starts the weekend off with a thud. There were some people talking about this on the bus to Hartford which seemed far fetched at the time. I guess they weren't. Disappointed I won't see him for another year. He'll have to make it up to us by being the first UA player to make it to the league...
  8. It would be great if it opened in November but that wasn't the opening I was hoping for anyway. I'd like a good home opponent for 2013 and open the season with all the hoopla. Still amazed this is happening every time I drive by or read an update here. Awesome day.
  9. Most of those stories talk about Epps wanting to go someplace closer to home. I'd imagine that would give the NJ schools a bit of an edge. Basketball-wise I don't think he could walk into a more open situation than our backcourt will be in 2013 with Mike Black, Iati, Suero, Logan and Guerrier all graduating.
  10. Story on Scott Bruxvoort and his younger brother.
  11. I'm guessing you're talking about next year. Gleason would be a 2013 recruit. We could certainly use a big guy in that class but we need a little of everything too. Would be great to see a local player back on the roster.
  12. Bruxvoort with 46 points last night. Not a double header, that was one game.
  13. One of the Rhode Island papers has us recruiting Charles Correa,a 5'9 PG from St. Raphael Academy.
  14. Bruxvoort just passed 1,500 points for his career the other night. He's averaging 10 rebounds and just under 25 points a game.
  15. Peoria Irish Basketball posted: 2013 PG Preston Wells (Richwoods) & 2013 Wing Alec Peters (Washington) have received scholarships from the University of Albany (D1). I'm guessing they mean received scholarship offers. Also NBE Basketball has a few things about our interest in Philly guard Karonn Walker.
  16. Van Coleman has a little more on the Lassen commitment. I like the references to Brian Lillis.
  17. From the Twitter we have some recruits from Iowa visiting this weekend. Might seem some tonight at volleyball or football tomorrow. Matt Lassen was supposed to be here this weekend.
  18. Story about the commitment and a little more info.
  19. It wasn't me. I just got an email alert to it this morning.
  20. 10 years in the making but worth the wait! How many other players can you identify in these videos? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ycg216Wp4A
  21. Vermont fans on the AE site were impressed by his highlight video and so was I. Curious if he's a small forward or power forward, looks like he has skills that you'd want in either spot. Consensus First Team All-state. I like the description from NY2LA Sports:
  22. Iowa Prep says we've also offered 6'5 wing Billy Daniel of Davenport.
  23. Iowa Preps says we have offered Matt Lassen, a 6'5 shooting guard from Linn Marr. He will be visiting October 6th-8th.
  24. According to NYC Hoop Josh James is unofficially visiting UA this week.
