  1. The amount of lay ups Lehigh got over and over and over was hard to watch. They shot at such a high percentage, we didn't. We shot SO MANY 3's too. We got to the line a lot and shot for a high percentage, but man we took a lot of 3's. Little heavy on the turnovers. Just way too many easy shots and lay ups for Lehigh time after time.
  2. That looks like a line up that could come out hot and punch the opponent right In the mouth with scoring. What are other peoples thoughts? Is it a little too small to come out of the shoot with? Is Desousa a 4 or a 3 and is asking him to play the 4 leaving him prone to fouling or will they probably play more zone then?
  3. Getting to the basket, getting to the free throw line and rebounding. When Albany teams do that, they are successful. For so many years we regularly took significantly more free throws than our opponents, made Them at a higher percentage than our opponents and out rebounded our opponents. I would love to see us get back to doing that.
  4. Hope it was worth it for Cremo. His team is getting thumped and he can't get off the bench. Couldn't get the Danes to the tourney so he leaves, now gets there and can hardly get off the pine. Which is better and which is worse??
  5. Some guys are going to have to stay and ride pine or play minimally. There aren't enough minutes to go around for 13 people who can all contribute every game. We are adding two pieces in Freshman and we need a PG. Outside of that, we should be good at 8-9 deep. What do people think of Hanks? He starts every game, but plays like 11 minutes. Its strange
  6. I am actually really surprised at how bad the Danes look today. They haven't made a single adjustment, and they don't even look capable of making them.
  7. I agree here. He drives me nuts, but its a better to have him in there going towards the basket than watching three guys pass it around 5 feet outside of the three point line
  8. The way the Danes are playing on offense if they get down by more than 10 they are done, and 10 might be a stretch
  9. The shot clock violations are brutal. Get something going to the Rim. The turnovers are a killer too.
  10. I agree. Didn't think it was a big deal. Over the years Coach Brown has showed he is a very competitive guy. I am sure him giving an opposing senior a smile and a high five at the end of regulation doesn't mean he is ok with a blown lead and an eventual loss.
  11. Answers that then. I couldn't remember if they did or not. Then we go for the highest seed possible and hope someone below us pulls an upset.
  12. If we don't get the 4 seed, would it be better to drop to the 6 seed to possibly avoid Vermont for one more round if we are able to get the win on the road?
  13. I agree that we are closer to the top than the bottom. We have clearly, and thankfully, separated ourselves. I just wonder how close we are to the top. Not sure the UVM game will be as good an indicator as round 2 with SB, UMBC and UML will be.
  14. In game 1 Vermont did whatever they wanted and we just let them do it, with a smile on our faces and a shrug of our shoulders. I don't think we will win this time around but I hope we keep it close and show some fight and fire. Push back this time around and let them know what is coming for them the next 3 years!
  15. No "D" in JOE. Great performance by Healey tonight. Been turning in solid performance after solid performance all year.
  16. Kid was great all night. I would still take Jon Iati in a three point shooting contest over him though. Iati, Iati, Aronholt, Gallup, Cremo could all stroke it too. He is definitely in that elite class though. Gallup might be the best now that I think of it. He could hit from any where once he crossed half court!
  17. Who was the other guy we lost to permanent injury again? Was he supposed to be an impact player? I can't remember
  18. Great game. Frustrating that they let the lead get cut to almost nothing, but encouraging that they held on. This team needs to learn how to win and close out games and today was a big step in doing so. Rizzutto is like a new man on the floor all of the sudden. I never felt like he looked lost, I just felt like he was being very passive and not aggressive at all. He wasn't doing what this team needed him to do, which is drive the ball and attack. Something clicked with this team in general and they started attacking the rim and pounding the boards. Such a pleasant site and they are competitive again!! Biggest goal right now should be to get that 7 seed. 6 would be great, but avoid missing the tourney and Vermont in round 1 would be great.
  19. We beat them in so many statistical categories but came up in the stat that matters. Almost 50% of our shots were 3's though. Thats too many. Especially when we shoot less than 30%. Would love to see the 3pt attempts go down and the free throw attempts go up.
  20. I jumped off the De Sousa band wagon after the Maine game because I thought he looked lost and totally over matched but his play tonight has opened my eyes. He has played so well!
  21. would be a shame to give this away at the end. Close it out. Have to learn how to win!!!
