I'm as worried about scoring as I am defending. Vermont has been crushing on the defensive end since that Stony Brook game.
Hopefully we can keep our cool and execute. Ahmad was great against UMBC getting into the lane and finding shooters.
Davis for UVM is as much of a problem as anyone. You have to bring your big guy out to defend him at the three point line and then you have no one to help in the paint against Lamb.
I'll be curious to see Hansen on Lamb. That way, you can have De Sousa on Smith.
Scoring is my worry too. Only have watched a few UVM games they seem to defend really well and with our propensity for sloppiness and turnovers it worries me a lot. Also, we have not been shooting very well and that needs to change if we want to in this game!

I'll take it! Let them back in but shut the door at the end. Love seeing de Sousa have a nice game, especially with the bad ankle.
-
Please don't blow this game!

Man Lulka cannot stay on the floor. I don't think he's been healthy the whole season.
-
Happy to see Rizzuto having a good game. Shooting well and playing decent D.
-
Shorthanded again. Let's see what they can do. I don't remember a season where so many players were banged up.
-
26% from the field 17% from 3. Disaster.
-
17 turnovers, terrible shooting, bad game overall. Reverted back to OOC play today.

Ellison is unstoppable right now.
-
Healy 2-11 from the field. Tough game for him.
-
Agree with you both. I'm really pulling for Rizzuto to improve but he's just not playing well. At least he's hit a few threes today.
I think we are shooting 29% from the field. Hard to win games that way. That's crazy low.
-
Just missing wide open threes. They are well below their season average. They hit their season average and they have the lead. Hopefully second half they start to drop. I wish they would try to get the ball in deep to the big men sometimes. Hansen especially.

Wouldn't read too much into it, I'm sure they're fine
Not saying there something going on between them. I'm just saying it was nice to see some fire from one of the players and some passion. Haven't seen much of that. asn't saying anything negative. Actually think it's a positive. Ahmad showing some leadership there.

Watching the replay and right after the horn at halftime Clark goes off on Rizzuto and they kind of argued a bit. It was caught on camera but Clark was very animated. That's something I haven't seen from anyone on the team this season.

Missed the game with kids stuff. Was hoping not to see the replay before the score and instead it was the first score when I opened up ESPN. I'll still watch but looks like they rolled! Good to see!

I will say that in recent years this board has become a bit more malicious with how players are talked about. I've been on here for many years and never do I remember people talking so badly about the student athletes. There was criticism but some of it now is a good bit worse than it used to be. What you say may be reality but it doesn't make it right. These aren't pro athletes and I think they deserve a little bot more leeway. Just my thoughts. This is why I don't really read much, especially during games and post a lot less than I used to.

de Sousa upsets me the most. He played close to my home and I knew some people who attended some of his games and they RAVED about him. He was selected to the All NEPSAC Team as a senior which is a solid accomplishment. I REALLY thought he was going to be a player. He has shown flashes the past two years but just cannot put it all together and even his blocked shots are down from last year. I really hope he can figure this out and become a contributor.

Once again had to miss the game, this time an exciting band concert. Just finished the replay. It's always fun reading through the thread afterwards while knowing the outcome. lol.
Tough game. Like always some boneheaded plays, turnovers and offensive droughts. Those stink but they never gave up and won a road game. 3-0! Keep it rolling.

Also saw this.
Honestly found it odd that he has some amazing experience in branding and marketing but they hired him for:
Turnbull's efforts will focus on strengthening philanthropic support for Great Dane athletics, with a special emphasis on securing major gifts and overseeing the Great Danes Athletic Club.

Everyone OK?!?! haha! Just busting balls fellas. Basketball is a game of runs. Bing made their run and our team withstood it and closed the door. Solid win!

You'll have to wait till the replay is available to watch the 1st half.
But if it's ESPN+ I can go back I think.

missed the first half and no way to go back on ESPN for some reason. Malachi gone crazy. Love to see this!

Didn't that kid have 26 pts? I know like 12 were at the line but still...
Stats don't always tell the story and the kid is REALLY good but he made him work hard for his points. I just felt watching the game he was all over him.

Lamb shoots 28% from 3 but of course he's 3-4 from 3 and has 18 pts already. He's due to miss 4 to get to his season average. Not bad so far on the offensive side. Need to play better defense. I got worried when we got down 10 but they made a nice run!
