  1. Today, 6/26, President Hall was on CNN Live talking about the end of this current term for the Supreme Court. He was talking about what the court will do and the future of the court. Im a senior in American History and it kinda was cool seeing him on tv. This guy is smart when it comes to Supreme Court History. He's offering a class this semester, i know Brian is taking it. I may take it as well.

But thats the little tid bit for today

  2. i think they are gonna give it to Boston as the team that makes it, which is understandable, being that they were up there all last year. Got to give respect where it is due. I think this guy feels its a close 2nd place to whoever wins it, BUT, he feels if they play strong enough in March, which we had trouble with near the end of the season, this team can easily win the conference.

Very good review and a fair one. I still think we are gonna win this thing and shock the world.

  5. FROM THE UALBANY ATHLETIC WEBSITE:

BOUNA COUNDOUL SIGNS DEVELOPMENTAL CONTRACT WITH MLS' COLORADO RAPIDS

Denver, Colo. – Former University at Albany goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul has signed a developmental contract with Major League Soccer’s Colorado Rapids. Coundoul, who recently earned his undergraduate degree in information science with a minor in French, has reported to the team and replaces Michael Cardenas on the roster.

"He is a tremendous story that can inspire all young goalkeepers," UAlbany coach Johan Aarnio commented. "As a graduating senior and the first player to reach the MLS ranks from our program, Bouna will develop well as a professional. His demeanor with others and professionalism make him a true role model for other student-athletes to emulate."

Coundoul, the 2004 America East Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, ranked third among the NCAA Division I leaders in goals against average at 0.54 per game. He posted a .901 save percentage with 11 shutouts as a senior. Coundoul led UAlbany to a 12-4-2 record, the program’s highest win total since 1992, and a share of the America East regular-season title.

A native of Dakar, Senegal, Coundoul was named first-team NSCAA/adidas All-New York Region in his final season. He also was chosen to the All-America East Conference team for the third consecutive year, including a pair of first-team selections.

During his UAlbany career, Coundoul recorded a 0.93 goals against average and 17 shutouts, plus made 271 saves. He once posted a shutout streak that lasted 426 minutes over six matches.

  6. if Morin couldnt come in, then thats how it was. Halloran was a soilder all year. Louisville just finaly got her. Give them credit. What i hope these last two games have done however is to get UA recognized, and maybe have them play 4-5 REALLY GOOD TEAMS next year on the sched. Frankly, with the record they compiled this year, if they finished with 3-4 more loses i wouldnt be upset. It would prep them for bigger things, and a victory if they face the NCAA's again.

Realize this, there were only 3 seniors on this team this year...3...THIS TEAM MAYBE UNSTOPPABLE NEXT YEAR IF THINGS FALLS INTO PLACE.

  7. ive been home for the past few days, so i havent beenable to see the news from around albany...yea im not even talking about a pole that big...a small pole if anything, just something for the fans and players to see.

Yea to me that Field Hockey looks more near 1k then 500. I was pretty close on the lacrosse field.

  8. exactly like that...doesnt even need to be attached to the American Flag pole...seriously, how hard is it to put an extra flag pole into the ground? Plus, i have a feeling, the Athletic Dept would pay for the banners to show off its accomplishments.

  9. John Fallon Field will be its new name. $250,000 stadium known as Phase 1. Will be done by September 1st of this year. Recommend you look at the photos, great pic of President Hall in bulldozer ripping grass up with a UAlbany Helmet on.
