America East Coaches Conference Call Schedule

America East Conference will announce the preseason polls and preseason all-conference teams for men's and women's basketball via a conference call on Tuesday, November 9. Each of the coaches from the America East schools will also be available on a teleconference that day. In addition, each of the America East schools will hold a media event on its campus.

 

When Northeastern decided to leave, I thought the AD's were going to try to improve the visibility of the conference?

 

How can they not have a conference media day? Each school will have it's own media event on campus - for UA that should have been this past Saturday for the intrasquad scrimmage. I haven't seen any media coverage?

 

Why not have the coaches and a few key players go to Boston for a day and act like a real conference.

I agree with you Reeder although it seems most of the local coverage starts with the invidual team's media day.

The MAAC had their media day yesterday so I was reading about it today. Should be very interesting to see where other coaches pick the Danes this year. Also the indiviual accolades such as preseaon first team, etc. I figure they many not pick J. Wilson and Jordan because they didn't play last year but Iati and Levi may have a shot and 3rd team.

 

Did you see the attendence for the Bing's exhibition the other night? 2500! The tournament out there should be packed.

The Northeast Conference also had a conference call for media day - not that we should be looking at them as an example.

 

By the AEast schedule, each coach - even Brennan - gets a whole five minutes after they announce the preseason teams and predictions. Less than 2 hours total. I don't know if that reflects the level of interest of the press, or if the conference is trying to keep down the phone charges.
