Women at Maine

Recommended Posts

Maine drew over 2,000 to that game. Granted Maine is still pretty good but this is the second game in a row the women failed to score 50 points and were beaten pretty badly on the boards. The two things I didn't think they'd have trouble with was rebounding and scoring.

Hutcheson going 0 for 7 in the first half had alot to do with it plus turnovers are really hurting the offense. If the ladies play 40 min of basketball they can beat any team in the league. In all three losses the ladies have had a lousy first 20 minutes of basketball. Remember Caoch Patterson harps more on defense. Turning Defense into offense is key. Albany played very well defensively in the half court set holding Maine to just 32% from the field. The struggled in transition. Once Albany puts together 40 minutes they'll be tough to beat. America East in Women's basketball is very tough this year. Any one team can beat anyone on any night. Our opponent on wednesday UMBC beat BU, but lost to Northeastern. The conference season is going to be a battle. Its going to be exciting.
