First....by doing what you are doing now...coming here and letting us know the dilly about meets, performances, etc.

Second, you will be helped w/ the new track and field complex.

Third, get on the SID to get more articles in the local paper.

Fourth, get out to local high schools.

Fifth, invite 5 friends to meets....EACH!

How can track and field be promoted better? -  purest sport

Keep promoting it on this board!!!

The more sports minded people who use this board the more interest we can generate and the more information we can dissiminate for all our teams.

Get you friends, classmates or whoever registered and posting solid information about individual and team results and we will see overall improvement in attendance for all our events. There is no shortcut but with effort and work we will see significant improvement in interest in Athletic events.

It's important that fans feel like they know our athletes and by passing names and results around and discussing events and personnell people feel like they are part of something. Like most people on this board feel like they know "Der Big Man" and "Q" because they been exposed to them on this board repeatedly.

Hey if interested UA track team has been hosting USATF meets at the RACC the past two sundays. I believe there is another one this coming sunday. Feel free to come by and learn something. It is open to the public and you are instructed and allowed to compete. Not sure what the entree fee is? It can be anywhere from $5 to $10. The meets have been put together by former runner/jumper Rich O'Riley, and Coach Vives. So come on down!

Track and Field 2005 Media Guides were released to public today! I'll take it upon myself to mail one to anyone on the board that would like one! Out of my own pocket postage. Leave your address WITHOUT a name as follows:

Current Resident of:

1234 Sassy Sex Drive

Smallbany, New Pork, 12345

They need to update the media guide on the UA website - it still has the 2004 media guide.
