Baseball Opener

I went to the DH yesterday. Besides losing the DH, it was a great atmosphere. Had to be about 200 people there. Some notes:

 

1) The Field was unplayable and underwater as of Thursday. They were not ven sure if the game was gonna be played, even with the nice weather. But they got the field together and it looked great. The OF however i was told was not fully drained yet.

 

2) New Uniforms. They look awesome. White, with UAlbany across the middle in purple and gold.

 

They just could not capitalize on opportunities. Two innings leaving the bases loaded, 5 errors in the first game. That doesnt equal wins. Hopefully they can turn it around today.

Good Recovery by Danes today...8-6 winners over Maine. Bases clearing triple by Tommy Hill in the 6th put Albany on top after a tough top of the 6th. Shawn Ryan picks up 6 out save. However defense still an issue with 3 errors and some other defensive deficiencies. Big win though, a much needed win.

Softball team scored 3 in the 4th, 2 in the 5th, and NINE in the sixth to beat Boston U. 14-2 and take 2 of 3 from the preseason favorites. Casey Halloran pitches the win.
