Recommended Posts

The lacrosse team is going to play the Cuse at the dome this year. No mention of any other games on the schedule. I hope if they schedule $iena this year they play that game on a weekend.

MEN’S LACROSSE SCHEDULED TO MEET NATIONAL POWER SYRACUSE IN CARRIER DOME

Albany, N.Y. – University at Albany Director of Athletics Dr. Lee McElroy announced on Nov. 25 that men’s lacrosse will play eight-time NCAA Division I national champion Syracuse University on Friday, April 23 in the Carrier Dome. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

The Orangemen earned their 24th consecutive NCAA Tournament berth in 2003, plus reached the national semifinals for the 21st straight year. Syracuse has eight starters returning from last year’s 10-6 squad. Head coach John Desko, who has a 65-17 record in five seasons at the helm, has guided the program to a pair of national titles in 2000 and 2002.

UAlbany captured its first-ever America East Conference championship and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history last season. The Great Danes, who are coming off a 10-6 campaign, return their top four scorers, including America East player of the year Luke Daquino (22 goals, 35 assists). Junior goalkeeper Kevin Rae was the 2003 America East championship MVP.
