Athletics Reorg on Web

The story says Charlie's been named Associate D of A, which usually ranks higher than assistant AD. Brian's still listed in the staff directory, so unless his contract's expiring or there's another announcement coming, it's possible that Brian is doing the same thing but is now working for Charlie.

This was probably a way of paying those individuals more and in order to do so they needed title changes. Unfortunately it also indicates who McElroy's favorites are as Ostrom and DePasquale who I believe have been there since the transition were passed up for a promotion/raise. Kind of disappointing for two guys who have given their all for Albany. Also, shocked to see that a person who has been a full-time employee for less than 3 years is suddenly an Assistant AD with a ton of responsibility. That's a lot of work for someone in their mid-20s.

It does beg the question that if McElroy was given extra money to spend on salaries, why wasn't some if not most of it used to sign Will to a new contract? Will's coaching success will help Charlie's progress in constantly selling out the RACC.

I wonder when the other shoe will drop this summer regarding coaching changes.
