UA Ladies Out of Conference

I'd have to guess the Buffalo tourney was arrainged in advanced for Becky Ayers to play in front of her family.

Aren't the women also playing a tourney at VCU or am I mistaken? They really seem to like those tournaments. They play in a lot more of them than the men do.

Checked VCU's website and there is no mention of the Danes for this year's schedule. More games soon to come...all I can confirm are the two tournaments and I am almost certain Siena...would love to see them schedule Northeastern because it made for great radio. Both sides don't like each other and it would have become a good rivalry if Northeastern didnt jump ship, but I don't think too many people are upset.

Story in one of the Conneticut papers that has Albany playing UConn this year. No mention of the date. According to the story Patterson was a teamate at Virginia of one of the UConn assistants.

Patterson was UVa class of '87 and started coaching at Bill & Mary in '88. UConn asst. Tonya Cardoza was UVa '91 - she might have redshirted once and therefore overlapped Patterson's senior year?

Here is the article from the Machester Journal-Enquirer. I can confirm this. The talks had been going on all spring but nothing had been finalized. This is on the same level if the men played Duke. It will be a new experience for these players with 10,000 fans at full throat. Four or five games already with teams at a higher RPI. Decent schedule by Patterson for her young team.

So the OOC shapes up like this(RPI 04-05): Albany (208)

Niagra(158)

St. Bonaventure(215)/Cornell(299)

UNLV(85)

Cal(137)/Columbia(198)

Siena (218)

Syracuse(124)

Connecticut(11)
