I felt before the season that Brian Lillis was going to be a key if not the key to how far this team was going to go. He not only goes all out but is a very smart ball player. He made a huge difference tonight. Though I've been down on Zoellner for a long time, I willingly admit that I may have been wrong. He had also had a very good game tonight. Let's hope that this is the turning point for this team.

It's telling that Lillis was one of the guys on the floor when they were trying to close out the game. As Statefan pointed out in the chat room he grabbed some big rebounds during that stretch (although he missed a lot of free throws).

While I haven't seen the Zoellner transformation in person is sounds like he's getting in better position to catch the ball. Last year he posted too far from the hoop and allowed the double team to come or try and shoot from too far out. Now it sounds like he's working harder to get good position and they are finding him with the ball. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see it for myself next weekend.

Overall while CSU isn't a great team it's great to see a bunch of different players chipping in. Also seeing them win while not shooting great (not bad) from the floor and pretty terrible from the line, Iati withstanding.
