UAlbany Men's Team Feted Last Night

An article posted in today's Times-Union described the honors that the Tri-Valley Cats made for our men's team.

I like the fact that so many Dane players were able to attend. Many of our team members' homes are far away. Five of the incoming team members were also present.

 

This event not only brings veteran and new team members together to build a sense of unity, but it also contributes to positive local exposure.

If so are Gifford's and Yocum's as advertised "size wise" ?

Gifford is noticably taller than Yocum, and both are taller than Covington. Gifford still looks like he has baby fat in his face, but his shirt was too loose to guess if he's in basketball shape right now.

spoke w/ a few of the freshmen that evening (plus, philadelphia) ... very positive first impressions ... personable, articulate, etc. ... if you're up at 'the joe' give me a shout, i'm there most evenings ... cold beer or pop on me

it was a long time in coming, but the athletic dept. has made real strides w/PR ... wins, plus resulting media attention, make the job for charlie, rob, ect. a bit easier ... good days are ahead
