partial sigh of relief for UA

i was just on america east's website and found the media packet for the upcoming tourney in boston. in the packet it gives information about the tourney procrdures and team seeds. i was reading albanys blurb and they showed a fact about #2 seeds that could be a glimmer of hope. it states "Throughout tourney history, No. 2 seeds have combined to go 46-18 (.719), collecting six league crowns and advancing to the title game 17 times."

I would argue that just as the America East has gotten stronger from top to bottom, it logically follows that so has UAlbany as a #2 seed (compared to previous #2 seeds). I suspect that we have a higher RPI and pose more of a threat than #2 seeds in years past. In other words, teams that are seeded lower should pose more of a threat to the higher seeds not only in this upcoming tournament but in tournaments to come. Thoughts?
