well, someone had to win

Whoever wins the MAAC will be the lowest-rated team in the field by far unless there's an upset in somebody's tournament. It depends how regional the NCAA matchups are. If we win out, and Cornell blows this game against Syracuse, it's possible.

Are there any sports where the maac champion isn't the lowest rated team in the tournament or in the play in game?

BTW, though games of April 7th the maac was 7 -41 .171 out of conference. AE is 20-20 .500 out of conference according to the latest standings on the AE site

It's close, but MAAC women's lacrosse MAY be ahead of the NEC; MAAC baseball is ahead of the SWAC and MEAC, but baseball has a lot of playins. I don't know where softball rankings are.
