It's amazing the Track Athletes that Coach gets to come to UA.

With the new Lacrosse and Field Hockey turf fields and talk of the Football stadium and moving and improving the baseball situation - I can't wait to see a new track facility so we can host good invitational meets and showcase our athletes to capitol area sport fans. That would surely improve our already strong recruiting efforts.

"It's amazing the Track Athletes that Coach gets to come to UA."

You hit the nail on the head. With better facilities, Indoor and Outdoor, this program could take another step forward.

That said. Joe Greene could run for any team in the country. Running anchor on a very fast 4x100 and winning the 400 hurdles at the IC4A's is very impressive.

And Moore and Burns are some tandem in the 800.

I don't remember, but was there any thought of adding a track around the new football field?

No. Project 2010 plans a separate track facility behind the softball field, running from the gym toward the Dutch quad parking lot, with field events closer to Dutch Quad.

I'd hope they DON'T put a track around the football field, so the seats will be closer to the action. There's no need for 10-15,000 seats for track (even Drake cut their stadium to 14K for the Drake relays).
