The first day of practice is right around the corner. The coaching staff is anxious to get going. We are still banged up and are very concerned that we will be missing a few players on October 12th. We figured we would have 12 for the first practice but that number might dwindle to 10 as a result of various injuries. We are definitely keeping the training staff busy!

 

Recruiting has gone very well! We have received three verbal commitments and expect all three to sign the National Letter of Intent in early November. We were able to address our perceived needs with this talented Class of 2008. It is very difficult to get your top recruit at any position. We were able to land our top choice at the point guard position, wing position, and the power forward position. A job well done by my staff!

 

Next weekend is Homecoming Weekend and we will be having our Purple/Gold scrimmage at 2:15 in the SEFCU Arena and we will have a short Q and A session afterwards on the court. This will give all of you an opportunity to see the team play an abbreviated scrimmage. We are practicing that morning as well.
