Luke Schoen qualifies for Championship round

Definitely going to need to be over 18 feet to win.

Rory Quiller (from Bing') won the indoor national title with a vault of 18-6 1/2.

Quiller won with 18' 0.5" indoors. His personal best is only 18'4". But outdoors is usually a lot tougher to win.

You're right. My bad. I misread it.

And outdoor vaulting is much harder. wind and weather are huge. I still expect to see an 18+ vault, don't you?

Schoen will be the most surprised guy if he goes 18' you usuallyjust don't improve 7" in a week.

Would you expect a 6'5" high jumper tp pop a 7' jump?

I'm hoping he gets a PB!!!!

You get a guy on a new pole and you never know what could happen. Its unlikely but it could happen.

Anyway, I just love seeing a Dane in the NC meet!

he's helping to keep the streak alive. 3 years in a row and 4 of the last 5 years.
