Stony Brook

This has been known for well over a year. It is the reason that LaValle has gone ballistic getting things done for SBU.

It is not great for Stony Brook. She was a big presence. Fiore should be looking over his shoulder as well.

I thought LaValle was going nuts because he knew he'd not be in the majority next year?

I've been a life long Republican but I'm disgusted with LaValle piling money into SBU and worse yet Bruno ignoring his home SUNY Center. The east campus is in his district for god's sake! It's the only SUNY Center from Peekskill to Plattsburgh. I really thought having the majority leader being from the Capitol District would be helpful. I was wrong. Bring on the Dems and borrow that freaking money to build the stadium.

The Dems might now be that friendly either to that type of project for the SUNY system. The Repubs have been friendlier to SUNY and schools in general than the Dems have been. We should tread carefully in this area.

Very much in agreement, Olddog71: Irrespective of one's political affiliation, losing Bruno as Senate majority leader IMHO would be a huge blow for upstate NY, and specifically, the Capital Region. One should be careful what they wish for in this regard. A democratic senate majority leader from NYC/downstate scares the dickens out of me.
