We have completed three long intense practice sessions. We took Monday off and we will go again at 3pm today. Practice has been a grind as we have spent most of the time trying to implement our defensive system. It has been difficult with so many new faces. The players have to adjust to new terminology, techniques, and drills. We have to do so much teaching with so few veterans. The talent level is good and the effort has been great. We have not done much offensively. The good thing is we have much more overall talent and offensive talent this year.

We received some good news from the NCAA. They granted Virginia transfer Will Harris immediate eligibility. We are happy for Will and his family. This was the correct decision and it couldn't have happened to a nicer young man. Now he needs to get himself in great shape. He has a chance to be a very good player in the America East Conference. He reminds me of a bigger version of former Hartford standout Jerel Parker.

Logan Aronhalt is progressing nicely from his surgery. The surgeon and training staff have a 6 week plan in place and he is on schedule. The goal is for him to begin practicing November 13. He is anxious to get going as he has worked extremely hard to get ready for his freshman season.

We scrimmage Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 and play on Nov. 14. It is hard to believe that we scrimmage in 11 days. This is why we need to maximize our time on the practice floor. The season is here and we have a lot of work to do!

bosiydid,

Thanks for submitting the coach's report. I had just checked his website before I decided to call it quits for the night, and then his report appears shortly afterward. I guess it just underscores how much effort Coach Brown applies to his job.
