Albany wins 9-6. Story and box now on UVM web site.

 

UA fell behind 4-1 in the first with DiCioccio in goal, Carroll played the last three quarters.

 

Corey Small scored 3 goals. Danes were only 18 of 29 clears.

Just got back from a 2 sport UA-UVM doubleheader.

Another slow start by UA. Only 4 for 9 in clears in the first quarter lead to UA playing defense almost the entire first quarter.

Carroll saved 14 of 16 shots the last 4 quarters with maybe 4 or 5 spectacular saves from point blank range. UVM did not score for 41 minutes turning the 4-1 deficit to an 8-4 lead.

Now the winner of Saturdays UA-SB game will clinch the 2 seed in the conference tourney baring another UMBC loss.
