I think Timmy being named captain speaks volumes about the progress he made both last season, as well as apparently in the offseason as well...

 

 

I wouldn't have been shocked to see Mike Johnson named a captain either. Certainly a good sign on Tim. He should at least be in the conversation for POY the next two years.
