Mark S gets a lot of criticism, deserving so, but he showed that he can write a good piece occasionally.

Yesterday's blog on Jon Mueller's induction to the Capital Region Basketball Hall of Fame without his usual negative tone.

It would have been nice if the TU could have gotten this piece in today's sports page (can you really call it a section when it is a thin as today's was), but they did not and as such this is another example of where the TU and not just Mark S fall short compared to other local papers I have seen.

Congrats to Jon on this recognition.

 

I had the pleasure of playing against him in an under 35 league quite a few years ago. He was an unbelievable rebounder against some solid players. Scored when he wanted to, and punished those that tried to stop him.

 

One of those guys that if he were two-three inches taller.....

 

Although even at 6'5" I'd bet he'd get 7-8 boards in the AE.
