So will this kill the NIT? Will the power conference teams still be required to have winning records to get in?

 

Or since 32 teams will have a first-round bye, is it a plot to eliminate most of the one-bid conference teams before they get a chance to get what would have been a first-round upset?

Yuck. Let's water down the post-season of another sport for more TV revenue. All so they can get the 8th place team in the Big East into the tourney.
