Spisto going back to Delhi?

Recommended Posts

A Great loss for the Danes a great get for Delhi. Coach Spisto is a high energy guy and a tireless worker.

Under his tutelage I'm sure Delhi will rise to national prominence again.

Good Luck Coach Spisto and everyonce in a while steer a good player our way!!!!!!

Best of luck to Coach Spisto at Delhi. Leaving UA with our recruting done and with plenty of time before the season to hire a replacement is a classy exit. We'll have to keep tabs on his progress to rebuild the Delhi program.

Does this mean Brian Barnes will be promoted?

Does this mean Brian Barnes will be promoted? -DP

I think Barnes was a Grad Ass't. this season and this would be a big step up.

I'm sure that it is a possibility Brown is contemplating (as he has always spoken highly of Barnes) but I think something like that must be run past Dr. McElroy, who may want someone more experienced!

Brown was a gamble for McElroy and I'm sure he wants him to succeed and therefore he may want a more experienced replacement.

Remember Spisto had been a successful JC Head Coach at Delhi and then had experience as a DI assistant at Rider.

I'm sure there will be many young assistants wanting to jump on board knowing that UA is positioned to be much improved and therefore it would look great on their resume in the future.

congratulations to Coach Spisto ... class act ... i want to again thank him publicly for his significant efforts in bringing the UA team to our school to meet with the 5th-8th grade classes ... a great event that created lasting, positive memories for our kids ... we'll keep an eye on delhi in the seasons ahead, i'm confident that they are back in good hands ... good luck Mike
