Cuse wins again in lacrosse

In front of nearly 47,000 Syracuse beat #1 seed John Hopkins. Title game is Monday at 2:30 on ESPN and I'll be pulling for Syracuse. They beat the #1 team in the country by 6 goals which doesn't make our 8 goal loss at the dome look too bad at all.

Albany is a lot closer in LAX then any other sport we have, at making some SERIOUS noise. I truly believe in about 4-5 years, you will see one of Stony Brook, Bing, or Albany playing in at least a quarterfinal, perhaps even a semi-final game.

The talent pool for lax is deepening. A team from California actually beat Farmingdale last year in some kind of tourney. That is beyond crazy for the sport. I think we have some serious talent next year and we have two good kids coming in that I know of. RAE is more than seasoned and our attack should be one of the best in the country.

Basically, the difference between UA and 'Cuse is the obvious depth and to a smaller extent speed. Our slide packages were a little too slow for their top guys. If we can improve in that area...we should be very good, very soon.

I love the fact that we play such a tough schedule. How many teams can boast playing a team that made the Final Four, plus a team that is in the finals...and will probably win it!!!!
