A couple of Danes lacrosse recruits have been named high school all-americans. Katie DeJoseph from Scotia scored 103 goals this season and was named on the women's side. Steve Ammann from Putnam Valley was named on the men's side.

I think last year Frank Resetarsis was an all-american.

Lacrosse All-Americans were relased recently. Three members of UA's incoming class were named:

Steve Ammann, Midfield (Putnam Valley, NY/Putnam Valley)

Garrett Pedley, Defense (Bow, NH/Bow)

Craig McDonald, Defense (Geneva, NY/Geneva) — Albany

Bing was the only other school in the conference (including UMBC) to have three all-americans coming in. Last year UA had one (Resetarsis) and two the year before. I think Daquino was our first (and only that year) all-american as a D1 lacrosse program. Looks like the lacrosse staff is really stepping it up with the quality of recruits.

the lax team has been the jewel for UA at the DI level ... great to hear more positive news for the team and coaches ... congratulations and thanks ... to keep the high quality recruiting classes coming, it is time for the state and university to solidify funding/plans for the artificial turf stadium

I am looking for big things to happen out of the men's lacrosse team this year. They have been fun to watch, and it's only a matter of time before the win an NCAA tournament game. Also, watch out for the women's team. They have an upcoming, energetic, positive coach. He will get things turned around!

Unfortunately for the women they face some stiff tests, being that A-East women's lacrosse is a good conference with a few teams capable of being nationally-ranked. They need to capatalize now, with the SBU, Vermont and BingU teams being fairly new and inexperienced. Don't want another BU situation like what happened with the men- new team starting fresh gets good quickly. Hopefully they can take advantage now while these teams are still establishing themselves.
