What Northeastern's move might mean for UA

Recommended Posts

I don't think that there's any question that Northeastern leaving the America East will hurt the conference. While other conferences in this part of the country are getting stronger and adding programs, the AE has had big departures the past 4 years. Don't look for UAlbany to leave the conference anytime in the next ten years. The focus will be in other areas in the meantime, such as adding facilities and scholarships. Don't look for Quinnipiac to be added. There is a possibility of an A-10 team falling in, but more likely the conference will stay as is for the next 4-5 years.

I agree, but I also believe that after the Big East/A-Ten/CAA meltdowns in 5 years, UA will be primed w:

15k seat football stadium

Great basketball Facility

2500 Lax/Field hockey stadium

Scholarships

The state capital

State school

Good Academics

Good support staff

Means movin' on up! (Whether its in 5 or 10 years...it will happen).
