it just happened...period. I just feel so broken hearted for them. As a broadcaster, that has followed the team, i just feel so sad for all of the girls. They worked so hard. They wont quit, i know that. That was rough. Really a tough way for the senior class who helped take the program to this level to go out.

 

Credit to SBU for scouting Albany and playing with a lot of poise. They certainly saved their best match of the year for the right time, damn them.

Tough loss - must be painful to be so dominant all year long and have one of your better players get hurt and lose in the semi finals.

 

Not sure how at large bids work, but the tournament next week could be important for an at large bid. I don't know if those teams are any good, but if UA wins, who knows...

There is no chance for an at-large bid if you are not a top 25 team or receiving votes in volleyball. I would put the chances at 1%. Entire conferences out west make it, meaning that only one has the auto and the rest are all at-large.
